An arduous google search through blogs and reviews on TripAdvisor had provided us with a list of things to do in New Orleans. For day 2, I suggested that we visit the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden which is right next to the New Orleans Museum of Art.

Eating Through NOLA: Part 2
Hi there! The city of New Orleans just celebrated Mardi Gras, a huge street party that reminds me of the Christmas carnival we have in Calabar, Nigeria. I visited New Orleans a few weeks before Mardi Gras, but even then the city was ready with decorations in the green, purple and yellow colors that are synonymousContinue reading “Eating Through NOLA: Part 2”
From New Orleans, With Love…
It was still dark when my eyes opened, and my brain registered the blaring sound of my alarm. My phone screen read 3:50 am, the last of four alarms I had set two hours before to prevent the disaster that would be missing the flight to New Orleans. I had never missed a flight (byContinue reading “From New Orleans, With Love…”
Eating Through NOLA: Part 1
I’m back with another “eating my way through *insert city here*” post. Part 1 of this post is for fast, finger food while Part 2 will be about stuff you don’t typically eat with your hands. Hold on to your snacks, or proceed snack-less at your own risk! At the top of my list ofContinue reading “Eating Through NOLA: Part 1”

Chasing waterfalls
Hi there! Another week, another memory shared with you. Over the holidays, my friends, family and I took a trip to one of Calabar’s forgotten gems – Kwa Falls. Calabar is the capital of Cross River State, Nigeria. It’s a coastal city located in the southern part of the country where my family lives. IContinue reading “Chasing waterfalls”

Hey there! If you’re reading this, then you’re wonderful- thank you! I just read a great post about a trip to Greenland; while it seemed expensive to visit, it also looked stunning. 5 hours in Madrid, Spain
Hi there, Happy New Year! I’m back and I’m not going to pretend like I never left. Taking this hiatus was three things: difficult, necessary and unplanned. I hope that your holidays were peaceful and that the rest of your year is even more so. On my way back to the United States from Nigeria,Continue reading “5 hours in Madrid, Spain”
