Hello & Happy Friday!
Pleased to bring back your regularly scheduled programming. I’m rounding the Chicago series up with this post, but I’m excited because the end of one thing usually signals the beginning of another.
The last two days spent in Chicago were filled with lots of walking, sightseeing, face-stuffing, you know, the usual.
To say goodbye (again), I’ve merged all the captured moments from these two days into a visual timeline. Enjoy!

When the day got cooler, less windy and more walking friendly, we met up with my cousin Liz to head to Navy Pier.\There are a few restaurants, stores, cruises, a huge ferris wheel and my best part, amazing water-front views.

Famished from walking all over the place, we hopped over to Nandos for what was a really yummy dinner. This was the first time I tried Nando’s, even though my sister claims I’ve had it before. Since I can’t remember, I’m counting this as my first time.
On August 13th, my last day in the city, we stopped by a cute pop-up farmer’s market and had grilled cheese (not the sandwich, just grilled cheese). Oh my, it was so delicious that I wanted to buy the cheese + the grill + the chef’s grilling skills. Sadly, money can’t buy you everything.
Next, we walked a few blocks over to Lincoln Park Zoo. I’m not a huge fan of zoo’s to be honest but this one was simply underwhelming. However, they had churros and a proud tiger so it wasn’t all bad.

Next stop, a late breakfast.
We walked for about 15 mins to get to the highly rated Kanela Breakfast Club . Their famous Nutella S’mores Waffle is as decadent and delicious as it sounds. You would think I ordered it right? Wrong. I thought it sounded too sweet and opted instead for chicken and waffles.

Sadly after this late breakfast, my time in the windy city had come to and end and 4pm found me in an Uber headed for O’hare International.

As always, I want to know where you guys have been. So leave me a comment if you’ve spent some time in Chicago. What did you get up to?
A huge thank you to Leye, Wonu + Liz for an amazing time in Chicago!
