Puerto Rico in June : MIA – SJU

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all well. Summertime where I live = scorching hot sun. I usually avoid the heat by curling up in my bed with a book with the air conditioning on. But when I’m not doing that, I’m probably looking for a new place to visit. This time, my heart was set on Puerto Rico.

It all started as a light conversation between my friend Fiyin and me when we were in Mexico. We were mostly trying to make ourselves feel better about the fact that our vacation was ending; BUT fast forward a few months and we had planned a 5-day trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

On the day of our departure, we flew into Miami International Airport where we had a 4hr layover. It wasn’t as unbearable as I’d thought, especially since we spent approximately half that time catching up on one of our favorite shows “The Bachelorette”. If any of you watch, comment below to let me know how much you love Luke. Haha! Anyway, after Luke the show, we searched for and found a nice Cuban place (Kuva) to have lunch while we waited to board our flight. If you need a delicious and decently priced meal at MIA, this is your spot!.

With a full tummy and heavy eyes, we boarded the plane to San Juan International at about 2 pm. A couple minutes into take off, I shut my sleepy eyes and I didn’t open them until the pilot announced descent. Just in time for some aerial shots.
